Dolcetto – This red wine grape comes from the Piedmont region in Italy. Dolcetto wine is rich, round, soft and fruity. It nearly always has a deep ruby and purple color with intriguing aromatics of blackberry, plum and spice. On the palate Dolcetto has distinctive notes of blackberry, almond with hints of licorice. Pairs with hearty Italian pasta and pizza, especially those with garlicky tomato sauce, meat or eggplant.
